Pop Mihai Ioan

Mihai is a member of the Association for the Conservation of Biological Diversity, being responsible, conservation projects, the coordination of activities on human-bear conflicts and implementation guidelines for monitoring of brown bear population. With ten years experience in large carnivore conservation and forest habitats is actively involved in other projects aimed at conservation of large carnivores. Is a member of the National Working Group for Large Carnivores and the Conservation of the German Society of Mammalogy member. In 2011 defended his dissertation “Study of bear damage caused by livestock in the area of Covasna, Harghita and Vrancea” in the Faculty of Forestry in Brasov and published his papper “Brown bear from conservation to conflict”.
