Romanian Carpathians is the last bastion of the large carnivores populations from Europe. Intact forest habitats and the low degree of anthropogenic fragmentation of areas inhabited by large carnivores, made possible the existence in Carpathians of 2,750 wolves, brown bears 4350 and 1800 lynx.

Romania is recognized throughout Europe for its natural riches, it is also one of Europe's top destinations for birdwatching, but this beautiful country located on the edge of the continent, it is not known for its wild treasures, such as butterflies.
